A. CALL TO ORDER – SPECIAL MEETING
The Adelanto City Council held the Special Meeting on Wednesday December 14, 2022, via teleconference 1-415-655-0001 - conference code 146 275 0870 of the Governmental Center located at 11600 Air Expressway, Adelanto, California. Mayor Reyes called to order the regular closed session at 6:09 p.m.
Council Members present: Evans, Jeannette, Jones, Mayor Pro Tem Ramos and Mayor Reyes.
Invocation: Council Member Jones
Flag Salute: Mayor Pro Tem Ramos
B. PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS
Mayor Reyes opened public comment at 6:11 p.m.
Veronica, a Spanish speaking resident spoke.

C. CANVASS OF THE ELECTION
1. DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 2022.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve Resolution No. 22-81:

THE RESULTS AND SUCH MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW

2 City Clerk Lopez read the results.
Gabriel Reyes was elected as the Mayor with 1,696 votes.
Angelo Meza was elected to the City Council with 1,214 votes.
Amanda Uptergrove was elected to City Council with 1,216 votes.
MOTION: Moved by Mayor Reyes seconded by Council Member Jeannette to approve Resolution No. 22-81
Motion carried 5-0 (Evans, Jeannette, Jones, Mayor Pro Tem Ramos and Mayor Reyes voting yes).
E. OPENING CEREMONIES
1. Swearing in the Mayor and new members of the City of Adelanto City Council by City Clerk Lopez. The City Clerk will present the newly elected Mayor and Council Members with a Certificate of Election.
City Clerk Lopez swore in the members of the Council.
F. ROLL CALL
Council Members present: Jeannette, Meza, Uptergrove, Mayor Pro Tem Ramos and Mayor Reyes.
E. ADJOURNMENT
The next Regular Meeting of the City Council will be held on December 14, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
MOTION: Moved by Council Member Uptergrove seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Ramos to adjourn the meeting at 6:25 p.m.
Motion carried 5-0 (Jeannette, Meza, Uptergrove, Mayor Pro Tem Ramos, and Mayor Reyes voting yes).
