A. CALL TO ORDER – SPECIAL MEETING
The Adelanto City Council held the Special Meeting on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, via teleconference 1-415-655-0001 - conference code 146 275 0870 of the Governmental Center located at 11600 Air Expressway, Adelanto, California. Mayor Reyes called to order the special meeting at 5:02 p.m..
Members present: Councilor Jeannette, Councilor Meza, Councilor Uptergrove, Mayor Pro Tem Ramos, and Mayor Reyes.
Invocation: Mayor Ramos
Flag Salute: Councilor Meza
B. DELETIONS / ADDITIONS TO AGENDA
None.
C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
MOTION: Moved by Mayor Reyes, seconded by Council Member Meza to approve the agenda as presented.
Motion carried 5-0 (Councilor Jeannette, Meza, Uptergrove, Mayor Pro Tem Ramos and Mayor Reyes voting yes).
D. PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS

2 E. NEW BUSINESS
1. HIRSCH & ASSOCIATES, INC. CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 1 FOR THE JONATHAN AND CHAMBERLAINE PARK PROJECT.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approves Hirsch & Associates, Inc. Contract Amendment No. 1 for the Jonathan and Chamberlaine Park Project.
Contracted Engineer Saba presented the staff report.
Discussion ensued regarding the item.
Mayor Reyes opened public comment.
Mayor Reyes closed public comment.
MOTION: Moved by Mayor Pro Tem Ramos, seconded by Councilor Jeannette to approve Hirsch & Associates, Inc. Contract Amendment No. 1 for the Jonathan and Chamberlaine Park Project.
Motion carried 5-0 (Councilor Jeannette, Meza, Uptergrove, Mayor Pro Tem Ramos and Mayor Reyes voting yes).
2. DISCUSSION ITEM – CITY OF ADELANTO CHRISTMAS PARADE.
Discussion ensued regarding details for the Christmas Parade.
F. ADJOURNMENT
The next Regular Meeting of the City Council will be held on September 13, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.
MOTION: Moved by Mayor Reyes seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Ramos to adjourn the meeting at 6:26 p.m.
Motion carried 5-0 (Council Members Jeannette, Meza, Uptergrove, Mayor Pro Tem Ramos and Mayor Reyes voting yes).
