FIRST AMENDMENT
TO THE
MEDICAL DIRECTOR AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA
AND
THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT is entered into by and between The Regentsofthe University of California, a corporation described in California Constitution Art. IX, Sec. 9, on behalf of the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine (hereinafter referred to as "UCSF"), and City of Alameda, municipal corporation ("City").
RECITALS:
WHEREAS, UCSF and the City, for its Alameda Fire Department, entered into a Medical Director Agreement with an effective date of July 29, 2020, in which UCSF will provide a UCSF Physician to serve as the director of Alameda City's Fire Department Division of Emergency Medical Services (hereinafter referred to as "Agreement").
WHEREAS,UCSFwishes to continueto provide Services,and the City wishes to continue to receive such Services under the Agreement.
WHEREAS,UCSF and the City agree to a two (2) monthextensionof the Agreementto allowthe partiesto continueto negotiatethe termsof a newagreement.
NOW THEREFORE, UCSF and the City hereby agree to amend the Agreement, as follows:
1. The effectivedate of this FirstAmendmentis January1, 2022.
2. Section5.1 Term of Agreementis amendedandextendedthroughFebruary28,2022.
Exceptas providedherein, all remainingterms, conditionsand provisionsof the Agreementare unchanged and unaffected by this First Amendment and shall continue in full force and effect. [Space IntentionallyLeftBlank]
