The purpose of this email is to notify you that Pierce Manufacturing Inc. will be implementing a 7.00% product price increase, effective May 1, 2022. In the event your department is planning on making a purchase with Go lden State Fire Apparatus during the current fiscal year or are planning on making a purchase at the start of your fiscal year 2022/2023 budget cycle, we wanted to make you aware of this price increase as soon as possible.
The decision to implement a pr ice increase is never a decision that comes without assessment and price sensitivity consideration. This increase is driven by drastic cost escalation that we are experiencing, particularly on permanent cost increases on component costs and the increasing costs of labor. Component manufacturers continue to pass along significant permanent increases.
If a signed contract or purchase order is received by Golden State Fire Apparatus on or prior to Friday, April 29, 2022, current pricing will be in effect . If a signed contract or purchase order is received by Golden State Fire Apparatus on May 1, 2022 or later , the 7.00% price increase will have to be added to the price of any previously proposed Pierce Manufacturing Inc. product.
As a result of the current, global economic climate we can only submit proposals with a maximum, thirty (30) day pricing validity. Once a proposal price has expired, you will automatically be provided an update by GSFA and the price may or may not remain the same and will have another thirty (30) day expiration timeframe.
We understand and share your concerns in this rapidly evolving, high inflationary market and also appreciate your understanding and continued business. Both Golden State Fire Apparatus and Pierce Manufacturing are doing everything we can to try and contain our costs and minimize price increases.
