POST-MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
Action: This case involves litigation initiated by Abdul and Priscilla Nevarez against the City, Greenway and Jim’s on the Course. The complaint alleges that the defendants violated the Americans with Disabilities Act ( ADA) and the Unruh Civil Rights Act and related statutes. Council authorized the City Attorney to enter into a settlement with the plaintiffs to fully resolve this case with respect to the Cit y and have the City pay $31,183 to the plaintiffs and to complete various remediation to the parking lot at Corica Park.
