Dear City Council,
Before you vote on Item 5-I (“Final Passage of Ordinance Amending the Alameda Landing Waterfront Master Plan”) this evening, I would like to call your attention to the misleading materials that Pulte is using regarding green space in the Bay37 community. These materials directly contradict statement they’ve made to The Alameda Planning Board, City Council, and residents dating back to 2019.

The first is a Bay37 promotional video that is currently on Pulte’s website. This video was presented to the Planning Board in 2019 in response to Board’s concerns about the lack of green space in the community. As you can see, the video shows fields of green space that do not exist. In fact, everywhere - except for a very few - either just do not exist or are storm drains. For example, the ENTIRE green space shown at 5th and Mitchell is actually an unusable storm drain.

The second attachment is a snapshot / overview of Bay37, which is full of green space that does not exist.

The third and fourth are photos that are currently on display in the sales office. Like the video and overview, these are not reflective of the reality at Bay37.

We respectfully urge you to please take these misleading photos and videos into consideration before approving item 5-I on the consent calendar this evening.

Thank you,
Marni Roosevelt
