Good Morning,
We, La Costa Pacifica Inc, have strong objections to the City (the Landlord) pursuing direct lease negotiations with our sub-tenant, Dashe Cellars LLC. We have raised this issue with City Staff since becoming aware of item 4B but have not received a reply. We object because:
The City has no direct relationship with Dashe Cellars
The City creates an unfair advantage by removing a revenue stream equal to 50% of our rent and property expenses.
As the Lessee and Sub-landlord we should be the sole entity that the Landlord negotiates with unless we provide consent.
A separate lease agreement with Dashe represents an existential threat to La Costa Pacifica Inc.
