AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023 -24 CAPITAL BUDGET
REAPPROPRIATING $134,000 FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM (CIP) C63000, $210,000 FROM CIP C63100, AND $50,000 FROM CIP C65010 TO CIP C65010 INCREASING REVENUE AND
EXPENDITURE APPROPRIATIONS BY $394,000
WHEREAS, on June 20, 2023, the City Council of the City of Alameda approved Resolution 16060 adopting the Fiscal Years (FY) 2023-24 Operating and Capital Budget; and; and
WHEREAS, $600,000 is currently budgeted in the Active Transportation Capital Improvement Project (CIP) C63000 of which approximately $600,000 is available for re- appropriation; and
WHEREAS, $938,500 is currently budgeted in the Bike/Pedestrian CIP C63100 of which approximately $228,000 is available for re-appropriation; and
WHEREAS, $50,000 in TDA Article III funding is currently budgeted in the Sidewalks CIP C14000 of which $50,000 is available for re-appropriation; and
WHEREAS, to construct the Jean Sweeney Trail Connector Improvements, additional funds totaling $394,000 are needed in the Cross Alameda Trail Connectors CIP C65010; and
WHEREAS, staff proposes to reallocate $134,000 from CIP C63000, Active Transportation to CIP C65010; and
WHEREAS, staff proposes to reallocate $210,000 from CIP C63010, Bike/Pedestrian to CIP C65010; and
WHEREAS, staff proposes to reallocate $50,000 from CIP C14000, Sidewalks to CIP C65010; and
WHEREAS, total proposed changes are summarized in the following table:

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Alameda hereby amends the F Y 2023-24 Capital Budget reappropriating $134,000 from CIP C63000, $210,000 from CIP C63100, and $50,000 from CIP C65010 to CIP C65010 increasing revenue and expenditure appropriations by $394,000.
