AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 202 3-25 CAPITAL BUDGET BY
REDUCING REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE APPROPRIATIONS IN
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT C12000, SIGNS AND
PAVEMENT MARKINGS BY $175,000, AND INCREASING REVENUE
AND EXPENDITURE APPROPRIATIONS FOR CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT C61000, STREET SAFETY BY $175,000
WHEREAS, on June 20, 2023, the City Council of the City of Alameda approved Resolution 16060 adopting the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 -24 Operating and Capital Budget; and
WHEREAS, approximately $283,999 of unprogrammed funds are available in the Signs and Pavement Markings Capital Improvement Project (CIP) C12000 , of which $175,000 is available for reappropriation; and
WHEREAS, the Lincoln Walnut Street Safety Improvements Projec t will improve vehicle and pedestrian safety by reducing vehicle speeds approaching and through the Lincoln Avenue and Walnut Street intersection, and improve pedestrian visibility with the upgraded painted bulbouts, and flashing beacons; and
WHEREAS, to construct the Lincoln Avenue / Walnut Street Safety Improvement Project additional funds in the amount of $175,000 are needed in CIP 61000, Street Safety; and
WHEREAS, staff proposes to reallocate $175,000 in Measure BB Local Streets and Roads funding from Fiscal Year 2023-25 CIP C12000, Signs and Pavement Markings to CIP C61000, Street Safety.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED , that the City Council of the City of Alameda hereby amends the FY 2023-25 Capital Budget by reallocating $175,000 from CIP C12000 to CIP C61000.
