Subject: RE: Estuary Park Agenda Item Questions

Jen,

Please see my responses below.

Thanks,
Justin

CM Spencer has the following questions for you tonight:

1. Will the gender neutral bathrooms have urinals? The gender neutral bathrooms will not have urinals. This would make the building 6’ longer and add between $60-$100k.

2. Will the drinking fountains have dog water areas at the bottom? The drinking fountains will have dog bowls near the dog parks.

3. For the bike racks, do we do anything to make the bikes that are left there less likely to get stolen? Are there ways to make them safer? The safety of bikes at racks is usually based on the method individuals use to secure their bikes. We have provided bike lockers at Boho Immigrant Circle but have had little success with people using them.

4. Discuss ADA and electric car spaces and whether there are sufficient spaces. CA building code requires 2 stalls (one van accessible) for 1-50 parking stalls. We will be installing two dual cable level 2 chargers and will supply one of the ADA spaces and 3 non- ADA spaces. This currently meets the requirements and provides one additional charging space.

Thanks,
Jen
