CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. _____
APPROVING A FISCAL YEAR 2024 -25 BUDGET AMENDMENT
REAPPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE FLEET REPLACEMENT FUND
(FUND 601) IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 505,000 FROM FISCAL YEAR
2022-23 TO FISCAL YEAR 2023-24
WHEREAS, due to vehicle supply shortages, six (6) City fleet vehicle replacements authorized and ordered in Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 were cancelled by the manufacturer; and
WHEREAS, vehicle replacement funds budgeted in FY 2023-24 that are not spent or encumbered with a purchase order by June 30, 2023 return to the fund balance of the Fleet Replacement Fund until appropriated by City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City is still in need of these necessary fleet vehicle replacements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Finance Director is hereby authorized to re -appropriate $ 505,000 in unspent fleet replacement funds (Fund 601) from the FY 2023-24 budget to the FY 2024-25 budget; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Public Works Director or designee is hereby authorized to use carried over budget funds in the amount of $ 505,000 for the purposes for which they were budgeted in FY 2023-24; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the source of funding for these reappropriations are the balances remaining in the Fleet Replacement Fund (601) as of June 30, 2024.
