MARCH 4, 2025 SETTLEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT: The City reached a settlement with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) on the two Notices of Violation (December 5, 2023 (CARB No. SF6-2023-005) and August 22, 2024 (CARB No. SF6-2024-004)), received by Alameda Municipal Power for its SF6 (Sulphur Hexafluoride) reporting. CARB has agreed to settle all matters for a total of $145,000. As background, the City Council previously provided settlement authority for this matter after the closed session on November 6, 2024 (Item 4-D, 2024-4502). This settlement will resolve all matters between the City and CARB at this time.
