Re: Item 7D - Recommendation to Accept the Economic Development Status Update and Provide Feedback Regarding Economic Development Efforts and Activities.
Dear Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council,
On behalf of the West Alameda Business Association (WABA), I would like to extend our sincere appreciation for the ongoing partnership and collaboration with the City of Alameda, particularly through the Economic Development Department.
WABA is grateful to have such committed and collaborative partners at the City whose goals and objectives are so closely aligned with ours. The regular engagement—especially through our monthly meetings—has been invaluable. I deeply appreciate the City’s consistent attention to the challenges and opportunities facing West Alameda, from addressing long-term vacancies and beautifying our streets, to supporting the diverse and evolving needs of our small business community.
These efforts make a meaningful difference, and we are proud to stand alongside the City in advancing a shared vision for a vibrant, inclusive, and economically thriving West Alameda. We look forward to building on this strong foundation through future successful collaborations.
