4. City/School District Issues
4-A. Update on the Season for Non-Violence Speech Contest – Marcie Johnson from the City of Alameda’s Social Services and Human Relations Board (SSHRB) gave an update on the Season for Non-Violence Speech Contest.

4-B Update on Pacific Fusion – Alesia Strauch and Abby Thorne-Lyman from the City of Alameda’s Base Reuse and Economic Development Division gave an update on the Pacific Fusion project at Alameda Point.
4-C Collaboration on Disaster Preparedness – Chief Nick Luby and Captain Dallas Andrews of the Alameda Fire Department, Superintendent Pasquale Scuderi, and Assistant Superintendent Kirsten Zazo of Alameda Unified School District debrief the December 5, 2024 Tsunami Warning and the impacts the warning had on schools and City departments.
4-D Update on Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) Construction Projects – Alameda High School Swim Center, Wood Middle School and Encinal High School Athletic Field – Shariq Khan, Assistant Superintendent for Alameda Unified School District gave an update on projects underway in Alameda Unified.
4-E Update on Building 17 Collaborative Efforts - Alesia Strauch and Abby Thorne- Lyman from the City of Alameda’s Base Reuse and Economic Development Division gave an update on the plans for Building 17 on Alameda Point.
