Alameda City Council,
I am a long term resident of Alameda writing to express my support for Item 10-A of this evening's meeting. I would like to see our city to do whatever it can to make it difficult for ICE to operate here. ICE is a disgusting organization that should be made unwelcome in our community.
While Item 10-A simply directs staff to study the issue and make recommendations, I think that it can be fairly easily concluded that the majority of our city's population oppose ICE.
Therefore, I would hope to see this staff research and recommendation accelerated and that the advice and direction be primarily focused on the best way of implementing such a policy rather than wasting time discussing whether to implement it. This should be expedited so that the Council can vote on it at the next available meeting.

To City Council,
In January, both the County of Alameda and City of Oakland adopted critical “ICE- Free Zones” policies.
It is PAST time for Alameda to take action. Council will consider directing staff to review similar “ICE-Free Zones" via agenda item 10-A at the 4/7/26 meeting.
This email is IN SUPPORT of 10-A. Take action to show that you are committed to enhancing community safety and practicing equitable & inclusive governance as is stated in the city's Strategic Plan.
