I am not in favor of approval of a bond that will be used for non-revenue producing investment.
A bond is a debt that our children will pay for in the future. In general, debt should be used to create new businesses, employment or revenue.
It would appear that the City of Alameda already has a debt service(principal repayments + Interest payments) of over $8 million dollars.
Please be very cautious and conservative before adding more debt to the citizens of Alameda.
