Subject: [EXTERNAL] Fw: "Sample Letter" to Object to Consent Items 5F.5G.,5H,5I on July 7th City Council Agenda Date: Monday, July 6, 2026 5:59:52 PM
Honorable Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft and Councilmembers, Michele Pryor, Greg Boller, Tony Daysog, Tracy Jensen
This is an objection to the above four items on the Consent Agenda that deal with the salaries of our employees that are designated as Executive Management. The total cost of the proposed salary raises hasn’t been disclosed and needs to be examined in an open forum on the Regular Agenda for complete public awareness. The public needs a complete explanation on how these increases have been determined. Many Alamedians are having financial problems, don’t receive automatic cost of living raises, make less than $130,000/yr. and don’t see any reason for proposing any pay raises to City Employees making over $200,000/yr.
I respectively request the above Consent Items be removed from the Consent Calendar and be placed on a future Regular Agenda.
Thank you for your consideration.
