General Notes1.Only restripe items called out in plans.2.Restripe Caltrans standard details with current stripewidths for the respective details, e.g. D22 uses 6" stripes.3.All new striping shall be cat-tracked and approvedby Engineer prior to striping.4.For installation of new crosswalks (exceptContinental), layout for 11 ft wide (center to center)and use existing limit line (if available).5.For installation of new ladder hatching, install perCrosswalk Striping Detail.6.For restriping of existing ladder hatching, restripeper existing.7.For ladder hatching, if available, match existingcrosswalk color at intersection. Contact Engineerwith any questions.8.Continental Crosswalks shall be 2 ft stripes with 2 ft gaps. 1.For locations approaching nearsidecrosswalks, install yield markings 20 ft fromthe crosswalk.2.For locations approaching farside crosswalks,install yield markings at the nearside curbreturn.3.For multi-lane approaches,3.1.center the sets of yield markings withconsideration to longitudinal striping.3.2.do not stripe triangles on lane lines.4.Use 24" base and 36" tall triangles and 12"spacing.
