CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. _____
AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET (FUND 310) TO APPROPRIATE $149,000 IN TFCA GRANT FUNDS TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT C65700 (LINCOLN AVENUE/MARSHALL WAY/PACIFIC AVENUE ADVANCED STRIPING PROJECT) WHEREAS, on June 17, 2025, the City Council did adopt a budget representing the financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027; and WHEREAS, on May 28, 2026 the City of Alameda was awarded a Transportation Fund for Clean Air (TFCA) grant allocation in the amount of $149,000 from the Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC); and WHEREAS, the Lincoln Avenue / Marshall Way / Pacific Avenue Advance Striping Project will implement a road diet and buffered bike lanes on the Lincoln Avenue / Marshall Way / Pacific Avenue corridor from Main Street to Wilma Chan Way; and WHEREAS, the project, as part of a larger Safe Streets for Lincoln/Marshall/Pacific corridor project, will close a gap in the bikeway network and connect businesses and residents in Alameda Point with multiple schools, including Academy of Alameda charter school and Island High, Alameda's continuation high school; and WHEREAS, on October 20, 2026, City Council authorized the City Manager to negotiate and execute a Project Funding Agreement with Alameda CTC; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the report and recommendations of the City Manager on the budget amendments and has determined that the budget amendments are both fair and appropriate; and WHEREAS, this budget ensures that the City of Alameda has exercised prudent judgment in its fiduciary responsibility as guardian of the public tax dollars.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda amends the Fiscal Year 2026-27 Budget to increase revenues and expenditures in the Capital Improvement Budget Project C65700 by $149,000 * * * * *
