ROLL CALL: At 5:15 p.m., on Monday, February 12, 2024, the Alhambra City Council met in Council Chambers of the Alhambra City Hall.

ABSENT: LEE

CITY CLERK REPORT - NOTICE NO. N2M 2 4- 16
The City Clerk hereby report ed that she duly gave notice of the special meeting of the City Council being held this evening pursuant to the order of the Mayor and in accordance with Section 54956 of the Government Code of the State of California.
COUNCIL BUSINESS
1. REQUEST FOR COUNCILMEMBER PARTICIPATION VIA VIDEO/TELECONFERENCE PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54953(F) – F2M23-7, M2M2 4- 15 On October 9, 2023, Councilmember Andrade-Stadler requested that her Council colleagues vote to allow her participation via video/teleconference at the February 12 , 202 4 City Council meeting due to medical reasons. Under current Government Code section 54953(f), this is allowable action if approved by the City Council.
City Attorney MONTES delivered a staff report and per Brown Act, asked if there were any other adults in the room with her. Ms. ANDRADE-STADLER replied that there were none.
Discussion : None.
Action Taken : City Council approved Councilmember Andrade- Stadler ’s request by motion and vote to allow her to participate and vote remotely via video/teleconference in City Council meetings due to an emergency medical reason under Government Code Section 54953(f). ( M2M2 4- 15 )

CLOSED SESSION & CITY ATTORNEY ANNOUNCEMENT re SAME - F2M2 4 -14 City Attorney MONTES identified those items listed on this evening ’s agenda which would be discussed in Closed Session as follows:
Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated Litigation: Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to Govt. Code Section 54956.9(d)(2): 1 matter.
Conference with City ’s Labor Negotiator (Govt. Code Section 54957.6): Mariam Ko , Director of Human Resources re: Alhambra Firefighters ’ Association whereupon at 5:17 p.m. the City Council moved into closed session pursuant to applicable law, including the Brown Act (Government Code Sec. 54950, et seq.) for the purpose of conferring with the City Attorney.
LEE: Councilmember LEE entered closed session at 5:20 p.m.
RECONVENE & CITY ATTORNEY REPORT : At 6:40 p.m. the City Council moved out of closed s ession with all members present.
ADJOURNMENT: At 6: 40 p.m. there being no further business for the Council to transact, the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, adjourn ed the meeting .
