ROLL CALL: At 5:07 p.m., on Monday, June 24, 2024, the Alhambra City Council met in Council Chambers of the Alhambra City Hall.
PRESENT: LEE, MALONEY , ANDRADE-STADLER, MAZA
ABSENT: PÉREZ
Officials Present : City Manager Binnquist, Assistant City Manager Garcia , Deputy City Manager Hembree, City Attorney Montes, City Clerk Myles
CITY CLERK REPORT - NOTICE NO. N2M 2 4- 74
The City Clerk hereby report ed that she duly gave notice of the special meeting of the City Council being held this evening pursuant to the order of the Mayor and in accordance with Section 54956 of the Government Code of the State of California.
CLOSED SESSION & CITY ATTORNEY ANNOUNCEMENT re SAME - F2M2 4 -14 City Attorney MONTES identified those items listed on this evening ’s agenda which would be discussed in Closed Session as follows:
Conference with Real Property Negotiator (Govt. Code Section 54956.8):
1) Property: Approximately 0.42 acres located on Second Street, South of Main Street and immediately north of an AT&T building, currently used as a public parking lot under the Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 5344-026-915 - Negotiating parties: City Manager and American Family Housing, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation. Under Negotiation: Instruction to negotiators will concern price, terms of payment or both. 2) Propert ies : APN 5345-014-902 and APN 5345-017-015 - Negotiating parties: City Manager and all potential interested parties. Under Negotiation: Instruction to negotiators will concern price, terms of payment or both. 3) Propert ies : 1400 Siwanoy and APN 5351-021-900 - Negotiating parties: City Manager and all potential interested parties. Under Negotiation: Instruction to negotiators will concern price, terms of payment or both.
Conference with Legal Counsel - Existing Litigation (Govt. Code Section 54956.9(d)(1)): Nancy Khoa v. City of Alhambra, LASC Case No. 23AHCV02555 Conference with City ’s Labor Negotiator (Govt. Code Section 54957.6): Mariam Ko , Director of Human Resources re: re: Executive Management and Confidential Employees, Alhambra Management Employees Association, Alhambra Police Non- Sworn Employees ’ Association, Alhambra Fire Department Management Association, Alhambra Police Officers ’ Association, Alhambra Police Management Association, 2 6-24 -24
Alhambra Fire Fighters ’ Association, the Alhambra City Employees ’ Association , and the Alhambra Police Dispatch Association .
Mr. MONTES then requested the addition of an item which arose after the posting of the agenda:
Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated Litigation: Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to Govt. Code Section 54956.9(d)(2): 2 matter s .
Action Taken: City Council approved the addition of the item for discussion with legal counsel.

whereupon at 5:09 p.m. the City Council moved into closed session pursuant to applicable law, including the Brown Act (Government Code Sec. 54950, et seq.) for the purpose of conferring with the City Attorney.
PÉREZ: Councilmember PÉREZ entered closed session at 5: 1 5 p.m.
RECONVENE & CITY ATTORNEY REPORT : At 6:28 p.m. the City Council moved out of closed s ession with all members present.
ADJOURNMENT: At 6: 28 p.m. there being no further business for the Council to transact, the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, adjourn ed the meeting .
