CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Munzing called the Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Aliso Viejo to order at 6: 00 p. m.

STUDY SESSION:
FISCAL YEAR 2024- 25 DRAFT ANNUAL BUDGET AND FINANCIAL FORECAST Acting City Manager Mitzi Ortiz introduced Financial Services Director Ann Eifert, who provided an overview. City Attorney Scott Smith, Chief of Police Services Alan Villanueva, and Public Works Director Shaun Pelletier provided additional information. Staff responded to questions regarding revenue estimates, employee merit increases, sales tax subsidy agreements, safety element, law enforcement services, animal control services, crossing guard services, street maintenance, Aliso Viejo Ranch operating costs, Aquatic Center management services, capital improvement projects, wetlands, fund balance policy, and lease agreements. Councilmembers commented on the matter. The City Council directed staff to bring the matter back for further discussion on June 5, 2024.
