Alturas City Council
Special Meeting
City Hall Council Chambers
January 11, 2023 at 2:30 p.m.
Pursuant to Resolution #2021-55 adopted by City Council on October 19, 2021, the Alturas City Council Mayor Brian Cox called the special meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. at the City Council Chambers and via teleconference. Councilmembers present: Paul Minchella, Kelly Crosby and Brian Cox.
Councilmembers absent: Cheryl Nelson and Samantha Wood. Staff present: City Clerk Macey Binning, and Director of Public Works Picotte. Public attending: None. All present joined together in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Director of Public Works Picotte informed the Council the importance of this meeting. If the City were to delay approving and ordering the product until the regular scheduled January 17, 2023 Council meeting, the price would increase roughly around $15,000.00. If this is approved, Mr. Picotte with solicit bids to erect the structure.
MOTION by Councilmember Crosby, SECONDED by Councilmember Minchella to award the bid to Empire Steel Buildings in the amount of $196,842.00. This bid is for the building only and does not include erecting the structure for the damaged hangar at the Alturas Municipal Airport. ALL AYES.
With no further business to come before City Council. MOTION by Councilmember Crosby to adjourn the meeting at 2:33 p.m. and to return in regular session on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., City Hall. SECONDED by Councilmember Minchella. ALL AYES.
