This Special Meeting is called by the City Council for the following items:
CALL TO ORDER PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
1. PUBLIC FORUM: The public may address the Council with items not listed on the agenda. Should a request call for action by the Council, the item will be placed on a later agenda. Each speaker is allocated (3) minutes to speak. Speakers may not exceed their time, unless extension was requested and approved prior.

3. Discussion/Action: Request approval of updated job description for the Assistant Public Works Director with intention to advertise for the vacancy. (Director of Public Works Farnam)
4. Discussion/Action: Adopt Resolution #2023-61 approving the Memorandum of Understanding between the United Public Employees of California Local 792 Alturas General Unit and the City of Alturas. (Labor Negotiation Committee)
5. Discussion: Alturas Police Officers Association and Alturas City Fire Department would like to submit letters of support for appointment of Marc Muller to Police Chief of Alturas. (Alturas Police Officers Association President Widby and Alturas Fire Chief Lloyd)
6. Discussion/action: Council direction for the procedure of appointing the vacant position of Alturas Police Chief. (Mayor Cox)
