RECOMMENDATION
Approve the process for appoin)ng the Parks and Community Services and Open Space, Ac)ve Transportation and Sustainability Commission members.

BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS
The applica)on period for the Parks and Community Services Commission and the Open Space, Ac)ve Transporta)on, and Sustainability (OSATS) Commission closed on December 31, 2024. The Parks and Community Services Commission received 8 applica)ons to fill 4-5 vacancies, while the OSATS Commission received 4 applica)ons to fill 3 vacancies. (See A9achment 1: Commission Vacancies.)
Interviews for these commissions are tentatively scheduled for January 29, 2025.
Staff is reques)ng City Council approval of the interview process to address the remaining vacancies for these commissions. (Specific ques)ons include need for paper screening and start )me for interviews.)
