The City Council meeting was called to order at 4:17 p.m.

BUSINESS
Action: Motion to approve the process for conducting the Open Space, Active Transportation and Sustainability Commission and Parks and Community Services Commission interviews made by Vice Mayor Mark Joseph, seconded by Councilmember Melissa Lamattina, and CARRIED by roll call vote.
Ayes: Councilmember Brando Cruz, Councilmember Melissa Lamattina, Councilmember David Oro, Vice Mayor Mark Joseph, Mayor Pierre Washington Nays: None

1. Open Space, Active Transportation and Sustainability Commission Interviews Council conducted interviews and selected three applicants to serve on the Open Space, Active Transportation and Sustainability Commission.
Action: Motion to appoint by Minute Order 2025-03 Nance Matson, Barry Christian and Debbie Chavarria to the Open Space, Active Transportation and Sustainability Commission for full four-year terms of January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2028, made by Councilmember David Oro, seconded by Vice Mayor Mark Joseph, and CARRIED by roll call vote.
Ayes: Councilmember Brando Cruz, Councilmember Melissa Lamattina, Councilmember David Oro, Vice Mayor Mark Joseph, Mayor Pierre Washington Nays: None

Council went into recess 5:15 p.m.

2. Parks and Community Services Commission Interviews
Council conducted interviews and selected five applicants to serve on the Parks and Community Services Commission.
Action: Motion to appoint by Minute Order 2025-04 Gina Griggs, Iain Smith and Elston Mallory, Jr. to the Parks and Community Services Commission for full four-year terms of January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2028; with Scott Myer and Shirly Koot appointed for partial two-year terms of January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2026 made by Councilmember David Oro, seconded by Vice Mayor Mark Joseph, and CARRIED by roll call vote.
