Event Title: AC Fire District Fee Board of Review
Event Report: August 11, 2026: I convened and chaired a meeting of the American Canyon Fire Service Fee Board of Review with Board Members Beth Marcus and Michael Tadewald, along with Acting Fire Chief Cliff Campbell. The Board conducted a public hearing regarding property owner appeals of the Annual Fire Service Fee calculations for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. Staff presented information on the Fire Service Fee program and appeal process, and the Board reviewed the status of any submitted appeals.
Following the public hearing and discussion, the Board took action consistent with its responsibilities under the Fire Service Fee Ordinance and approved the meeting minutes as appropriate.

Event Report: August 12, 2026: I attended the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce's Meet Me in the Street community event, which brought together residents, local businesses, food vendors, artisans, musicians, and community organizations for an evening of entertainment and fellowship. The event featured a variety of food vendors, arts and crafts, live music, dancing, and opportunities for neighbors to connect and socialize.
Kudos once again to the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce, event sponsors, vendors, city staff and the many volunteers whose hard work and dedication made this event a success. Their efforts continue to strengthen community connections and showcase the vibrant spirit that makes American Canyon such a special place to live, work, and visit.
