ACTION:
Discussion and briefing regarding the Angel Stadium transaction and the impact of recent developments, and direction to staff on future of Angel Stadium transaction.
DISCUSSION:
At the May 17, 2022 Council Meeting, Councilmember Valencia agendized for this meeting a discussion and briefing of the Angels transaction in light of recent developments regarding a federal investigation of the Mayor and surrounding circumstances. Councilmember Valencia also requested that the agenda item include possible action by Council with direction to staff on the transaction.
At the May 24 Council Meeting, the staff will provide a briefing as requested by Councilmember Valencia, to be followed by Council discussion and possible Council direction to staff as the Council sees fit.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
