RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve the compensation of council appointees pursuant to Government Code Section 54953(c)(3) and related personnel rules.
DISCUSSION:
Pursuant to Section 4.7(a) of the City’s Personnel Rules and Polices Covering Non Represented Full-Time and Part-Time Employees, on August 23 and September 13, 2022, the City Council met in closed session to conduct and complete a performance evaluation for each City Council appointee. The City Council acknowledged the accomplishments of the City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk, and in recognition of performance and consistent with that allowed under the Personnel Rules and merit matrix for all management and executives, the City Council recommends the following compensation adjustment for meritorious service: City Manager 2%; City Attorney 2%; and City Clerk 3%.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Sufficient funds have been allocated in the departments’ respective General Fund budgets.
