SUBJECT: AGREEMENT WITH LEXIPOL, LLC FOR POLICY
MANAGEMENT SERVICES

RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion:
1. Waive Council Policy 4.1 and approve the Master Service Agreement with Lexipol, LLC (Lexipol), in an amount not to exceed $80,741, for the maintenance and management of the Fire & Rescue Department’s Policy Manual, for a one year term beginning January 1, 2023 and four one-year renewal options; and
2. Authorize the Fire Chief to execute any amendments or optional renewals under the terms and conditions of the agreement.
DISCUSSION:
The Fire & Rescue Department currently collaborates with Lexipol to maintain and manage the Fire & Rescue Department Policy Manual and related Training Bulletins.
The agreement with Lexipol will provide continued policy management services, delivering timely updates as laws and best practices change. Lexipol will also provide Daily Training Bulletins to reinforce the understanding and knowledge of the department’s policies and practices.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Funding is available in the Fire & Rescue department’s FY 2022/23 General Fund budget.
