RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - ______
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ADOPTING A MEMORANDUM
OF UNDERSTANDING ESTABLISHING TERMS AND
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR EMPLOYEES
IN CLASSIFICATIONS REPRESENTED BY THE
SERVICE EMPLOYEES’ INTERNATIONAL UNION,
UNITED SERVICE WORKERS WEST; AND
SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO. 2021-058
WHEREAS, Chapter 1.06 of the Anaheim Municipal Code establishes the employer-employee relations system for the City; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 1.06, Section 1.06.100 requires the Memorandum of Understanding to be presented to the City Council for determination; and WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Anaheim and the Service Employees’ International Union, United Service Workers West, adopted by Resolution No. 2021-058, expired January 6, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that approval of a successor Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Anaheim and the Service Employees’ International Union, United Service Workers West, executed on December 8, 2022 is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the Memorandum of Understanding between the Service Employees’ International Union, United Service Workers West, and the City of Anaheim executed by the City Management Representative and the Service Employees’ International Union, United Service Workers West, on December 8, 2022, as set forth in the document attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, be and the same is hereby adopted and that the effective date of such Memorandum of Understanding shall be January 7, 2022 through December 21, 2023.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Human Resources Director shall be delegated with the authority to publish the authorized salary schedule in said Memorandum of Understanding in any format meeting the requirements of California Code of Regulations section 570.5.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 2021-058 is hereby superseded effective January 7, 2022.
