RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate of Recognition: Recognizing Jim Herberg, the Orange County Sanitation District General Manager, as he retires after 30 years of service to the County. (Requested by Council Member Faessel)
Proclamation: Recognizing January 2023 as National Mentoring Month. (Requested by Mayor Ashleigh Aitken)
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
