RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community or commemorates the remembrance of significant events. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition for the previously mentioned reasons.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate:
Proclamation: Recognizing Kay Carpenter for her nomination as the Cypress College Foundation’s Citizen of the Year for Anaheim. (Requested by Council Member Faessel)
Proclamation: Recognizing Liz Dunster as the Cypress College Foundation’s Person of the Year. (Requested by staff)
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
