RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community or commemorates the remembrance of significant events. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition for the previously mentioned reasons.
The following has been recommended to receive a Proclamation:
Proclamation: Recognizing Anaheim resident Cruz Lopez Pinelli’s 100th birthday. (Requested by Mayor Pro Tem Rubalcava)
Proclamation: Recognizing the Anaheim business, The Sunbliss Café, for earning national recognition as #6 on Yelp.com’s 2023 Top 100 Places to Eat. (Requested by Mayor Ashleigh Aitken)
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
