Wehavenofaithinthecitywhenit comestobeachblvd. Theyhaventfollowedthruyetwithany promisesandnowperresolution11theywanttoveeroffcoursetoanotherscheme.

Theveryideaoftakingamultidecadenoncompliantcrimeriddenmotelandtryingtoturnit intoan artlodgewithgrantmoneyissoridiculous. Theycallit temporarymaybe2years, untilit is developed. Butwhybother? Doureallythinkanynormalpersonwillvisitbeachblvdsformermotel, nexttoothercrimeriddenmotelstoseeart? "Yah, letsmeetnextdoortotheRobinHoodmotelon beachblvdandseesomeupandcomingPicassos?" Comeon!
Demothatmotel, givethecommunitywhatwe, THERESIDENTS, votedforintheBeachblvdSpecific Plan.

Youhavenocontrolovertheplanofthatgrantmoney, whowillbeatthatmotel, thesecurity, the safety, therenovation, ortheguaranteeit wouldwork, nothing. Throwingmoremoneyataproblem isjusthistoryrepeatingitself. Itsstillgoingtobeamotel.

Justdemotheproperty, gettheother15motelsoffbeachblvd, andworkyourbuttsofflikeStanton has, andgetBeachblvdsuccessfullyrebuiltintowhatwehavebeenpromised. Asafestreet, withlots ofreallygoodshopping, restaurantsandlegitbusinesses.

TheCityis already providingfor propertymanagement, includingsecurity. 24-houron-sitesecurityand/or property managementwouldcontinueas partof theplanof operationfor theArtsLodgeproject. Securitywillbe thefirstpriorityof theprojectandwill informall decisionsregardingtheoperationof theproject.

Isthatmean percentnomoneyfromthegranttopayforsecurity?
2 d) Canthegrantpayfor salariesor housingallowancesfor theartists? Thegrantis intendedto helpfundartistsandthecreationof art. Compensatingartistsfor theirtimeandresourceswouldbepart of theproposedgrantbudget. We donotanticipatepayingdirecthousingallowancesto artists. There wouldbe noartistslivingat theproperty. Theonlyresidentat thepropertywouldbean on-sitemanager, for securitypurposes.

Whataretherequirementsandcriteriathattheartistsmustqualifytoreceivethegrantfundandwhatwillhappento theartpiecesafterbeenpaytocreate? whowillownedits? City? Communityorartists? Youstated, “ wedonotanticipatepayingdirectlyhousingallowancetoartists”, wouldyoupleaseclarifythat statement?

IbelieveCityownedthesidewalknow , soatleastonethingtheCitycandoispowerwashtheentiresidewalkandthat won’t relatetoanyprivateownedmatter. Canthegrantfundpayforthatserviceinthose2years? 3) Thedurationfor thisgrantis two (2) years, whatwill happenif thefundsrunoutbeforethetwo (2) yearperiod? Whowillbearresponsibilityto continueto payfor theproperty? Shouldtheplanto revitalize thepropertyfail, arewerequiredto returnthefund? Webelievethegrantis adequateto coverexpenses associatedwiththeoperationsof theprojectfor a periodof twoyears. Asyouareaware, theCityhas beenprovidingsecurityat thispropertyandtheCoveredWagonsincewepurchasedit. Asproperty owners, wewill continueto ensurethatpropersecurityandmaintenanceis providedat theproperty.

Weanticipatethatthemajorityof theexisting parkingspacesat thepropertywill be maintainedas parkingspaces, withthepotentialfora fewof the spacesnearthefrontof thepropertyto beconvertedto outdoorcommunityspaces. b) I wasadvisedthata tentativeplanwill be a parkingallocationat theCoveredWagonsite.

Thisis notin closeproximityto theAnaheimLodgeandif theCitywouldliketo moveforwardwiththis plan, thenthereneedto be bettersolutionto accountfor parking. WhiletheCoveredWagonis not adjacentto theAnaheimLodge, it is in closeproximity, withjustonepropertyseparatingthetwo properties (lessthan125feet). SincetheCoverWagonis nowdemolished, thereis approximatelyone acreof openspaceto accommodateparkingin additionto theparkingstallsavailableat theAnaheim Lodge.
c) DoestheCityplanto providesecurityat theCoveredWagonsiteaswell? Yes 10) Noise:

This tool is a fillable form for educators to assess curriculum, supplemental materials, and other instructional materials used for the purpose of teaching mental health education to middle or high school students for alignment with SB 224 Mental Health Education requirements.
