A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A
LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE ANAHEIM POLICE MANAGEMENT
ASSOCIATION AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
CONCERNING PAY ADJUSTMENTS AS
NEGOTIATED UNDER THE CURRENT
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
ENDING JUNE 30, 2025
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim (City) and the Anaheim Police Management Association (APMA) executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on wages, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment for employees represented by the APMA on September 28, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the MOU between the parties provides a reopener provision in January 2023 for the sole purpose of addressing potential compaction issues; and WHEREAS, any changes resulting from the reopener are subject to mutual agreement of the parties and a Letter of Understanding (LOU) is required to amend the current MOU and authorize compaction pay adjustments; and
WHEREAS, the City and APMA have met and conferred in good faith, and as a result thereof, a LOU dated May 17, 2023 between the parties has been prepared and signed; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that approval of the LOU between the City of Anaheim and the APMA is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the LOU dated May 17, 2023 between the City of Anaheim and APMA, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Human Resources Director shall be delegated with the authority to publish the revised salary schedule, thereby amending the current MOU, in any format meeting the requirements of California Code of Regulations section 570.5. //
