RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve a recognition to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following has been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Recognition: Recognizing the Canyon High School Comanches Baseball team on winning the CIF Southern California Division IV Regional Championship. (Requested by Mayor Aitken)
Recognition: Recognizing Hardin Honda for their generous donation of a vehicle to a family in need. (Requested by Mayor Pro Tem Rubalcava) Recognition: Recognizing five scholarship recipients of the Anaheim Public Utilities Scholarship Program. (Requested by city staff) IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
