RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, accept the bids from Cal-Duct, Inc., Anixter Inc., One Nation Distribution LLC, and OneSource Distributors in the amounts of $28,650.00, $99,699.10, $27,800.00, and $22,902.50, respectively, plus applicable tax, for the purchase of various electrical materials including connectors and conduit for Anaheim Public Utilities, all in accordance with Bid #9702.
DISCUSSION
Purchasing solicited bids from known suppliers and posted the bid on the City’s bid portal. Sealed bids were received by 2:00 p.m., June 28, 2023, from the following bidders, and were publicly opened immediately thereafter.

The bid was based on the purchase of 16 different electrical material line items. They included bolt connectors, mounting brackets, guy wire grip, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) conduit, sump pump switches, and other small items. The bid quantity of each item was established by reviewing the current on-hand inventory current lead time, and projected Acceptance of Bids for Purchase of Various Electrical Materials August 15, 2023
usage of each item. Each line item was reviewed and awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.
Of the 16 line items, two were awarded to Cal-Duct, Inc., ten were awarded to Anixter Inc., one line was awarded to One Nation Distribution LLC, and three were awarded to OneSource Distributors. The purchases of these electrical materials will be used to replenish utility warehouse inventory levels for these specific items, which are used to maintain and operate Anaheim’s electric system.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Sufficient funds are available in Anaheim Public Utilities’ Fiscal Year 2023/24 restricted Electric Utility Fund budget.
