RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Recognition: Recognizing Linbrook Bowl on their 65th anniversary of conducting business in Anaheim. (Requested by Council Member Leon) Recognition: Recognizing the retirement of California Highway Patrol Officer Tyrone Bennett. (Requested by Council Member Leon)
Recognition: Recognizing Jason Perez for winning the donut eating contest for three consecutive years at the National Night Out. (Requested by Mayor Aitken) IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
