REQUESTED ACTION:
That the City Council discuss and provide any direction to staff regarding a potential new policy that would require all City Council Members, as well as the City Manager and Assistant City Manager, to post their work calendars on the City’s website.
DISCUSSION:
Mayor Aitken requested that this item be added to the City Council agenda for discussion.
Specifically, she would like to discuss the possibility of a new council policy that would require City Council Members, as well as the City Manager and Assistant City Manager, to post their calendars on the city’s website. Although all City calendars are, subject to certain exceptions, currently public record and available to the public upon request, this new policy would require designated members of the City to proactively post calendars on the City’s website.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
