RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following has been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Recognition: Recognizing Stand Up for Kids – Orange County on their 20th anniversary as they work to provide basic needs, housing, mentoring support, care, and love to at-risk and homeless youth ages 12-24. (Requested by Mayor Ashleigh Aitken)
Recognition: Recognizing City of Anaheim retirees. (Requested by City Staff) Recognition: Recognizing Assistant City Attorney Moses Johnson’s career and retirement from the City of Anaheim. (Requested by City Staff) IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
