Disney Aspire’s network of educational providers includes two local Orange Country academic institutions: California State University, Fullerton and Fullerton College. Combined, they offer over 50 educational programs to employees, including the opportunity to attend select courses in person.
Today, more than 300 current employees are enrolled at both schools.
California State University, Fullerton is the largest campus within the California State University system and is a catalyst for social mobility as the number-one university in California in graduating women and students of color. Fullerton College is one of the oldest community colleges in the state of California, and one of the most successful in the nation. It is also the top feeder school of transfer students into California State University, Fullerton.
Child Care
The Disneyland Child Care Program is designed to provide a variety of choices, convenience, and availability to help meet the child care needs of working parents. Eligible Anaheim-based, full-time and part-time DLR Cast Members can choose a child care center from more than 70 select locations in the Learning Care Group family of brands. This substantial investment in the well-being of our Cast is part of our commitment to the communities we call home.
Cast Members may apply to receive financial assistance and will only be responsible for their portion of costs, no reimbursements necessary.
Eligibility for the financial assistance program is determined annually by several factors including household size and gross annual household income. In 2022, we expanded eligibility thresholds that help make it easier for Cast Members to qualify for additional assistance to pay for child care, and continue to expand offerings on the weekends and during extended evening hours. 7 Development Agreement Annual Report

Mentorship
DLR, in collaboration with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Inland Empire, entered the second year of a three-year Workplace Mentoring Program with a cohort of 15 matches of “Bigs” and “Littles” from Katella High School.
In the summer of 2023, DLR hosted 12
students from the Anaheim Union High School
District AIME Program (Anaheim’s Innovative
Mentoring Experience). During this six-week
program, each student was paired with a
salaried leader from various departments to
learn professional skills and discover how the
resort operates. The students experienced 34
meet-and-greets with different leaders, 8
career skills workshops, and worked as a
cohort on a “mock” project, which was
presented to DLR leadership on their final day.
Upon conclusion of the program, students
received a scholarship from AUHSD, funded in
part by a donation from DLR.

For the sixth year, DLR provided the following offerings to nonprofit organizations participating in our workforce development initiative through more than 80 sessions:
A Speakers Bureau (both individual speakers
and career panels) comprised of Disney
VoluntEARS speakers from DLR sharing career
journey stories while offering exposure to various
career paths within Disney.
Professional workshops covering topics such
as Resume Writing, Interviewing Skills, Business
Etiquette, Engineering, and Financial Fitness.
Mock interviews to give high school students
and adult job seekers the opportunity to practice
their interviewing skills with hiring managers and
other leaders from DLR.
Content from our Disney Imagination Campus
programs, which introduced participants to
leadership and personal branding concepts in an
interactive and engaging format.

VoluntEARS School Support
In July, DLR Cast Members collected and donated nearly 4,000 school supply items to Orange Grove Elementary that included notebooks, crayons, rulers, pencils, glue sticks and more.
Disney VoluntEARS helped sort and prepare the school supplies for delivery to Orange Grove Elementary. Seven Disney VoluntEARS, including the Disneyland Ambassadors attended a school supply distribution at the school.
Nearly 400 students attended the event and walked away with supplies ready to start the school year.
Orange Grove Elementary Principal Dr. Marroquin noted that not only did DLR provide sufficient supplies for their students, she was even able to share some supplies with neighboring school, Horace Mann Elementary.
DLR enjoys a longstanding relationship with Orange Grove Elementary through our HOLA Readers program. HOLA, the Hispanic and Latin American business employee resource group at DLR, offers a reading program to all third grade students at Orange Grove Elementary. The program also includes a career panel for sixth grade students and an
environmental panel for third grade students.
Community Outreach
As part of the community workforce
development initiative, DLR Corporate Social
Responsibility, in collaboration with Disney
VoluntEARS and Casting Services, provided
mentoring experiences, career skills
workshops, career panels, a speakers bureau
and mock interviews for more than 1,100
students and Anaheim residents in fiscal year
2023.
