The Community Services Activity Guide plays an important role in providing Anaheim residents with essential information on upcoming classes, programs, resources and events. Partnering with a professional printing vendor will ensure that the guide is produced with the highest quality and delivered to residents in a timely manner.
The bid was based on estimated annual quantities of printing, mailing, and delivery services and offered vendors the option of bidding using non-recycled and/or recycled content paper as defined by the City’s Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Policy.
The policy specifically requires the purchase of recycled-content paper products when they are equal in fitness and quality to non-recycled paper products and are available at the same or lesser cost.
The term of the agreement shall be for a one-year period with four one-year optional renewal periods. Unit pricing is fixed for the initial one-year base period and will be negotiated each renewal year, but may not exceed the change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim, CA areas for the preceding 12- month period. If significant fluctuations in costs are experienced throughout the printing industry, the City reserves the right, at agreement renewal, to negotiate a price adjustment as deemed equitable by Purchasing based on current market conditions.
Negotiated price adjustments are at the sole discretion of the City.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
Sufficient funds are available in the Community Services Department’s Fiscal Year 2023/24 General Fund budget. Funding for subsequent years will be subject to Council’s approval of budget appropriations.
Acceptance of Bid for Printing and Mailing Services for the Anaheim Community Services Activity Guides January 23, 2024

Jered Rakosky Sjany Larson-Cash,
Purchasing Agent Community Services Director
