RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following has been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Servite High School Soccer Team for winning the CIF- Southern Section Division 1 Championships. (Requested by Council Member Leon) Certificate: Recognizing Olympians who live or train in Anaheim who have qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. (Requested by Council Member Meeks) Certificate: Recognizing Anaheim Public Utilities High School Scholarship Recipients. (Requested by Staff)
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
