RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following has been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Anaheim Police Department for finishing 7th place in the 2024 Baker 2 Vegas 2024 Challenge Cup Relay (Requested by Council Member Rubalcava).
Certificate: Recognizing the Hardin Family for donating a car to a grieving husband who recently lost his wife (Requested by Council Member Rubalcava). Proclamation: Recognizing April 14-20, 2024 as California Mosquito Awareness Week (Requested by City Staff).
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
