RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Resolution, set a public hearing date of May 7, 2024, to consider a proposed vacation/abandonment of a segment of Short Street right-of-way described as lying northwest of Kellogg Drive, southeast of the city boundary, and abutting 5055 Short Street.
DISCUSSION:
Dunbar Holdings Placentia, LLC, a Nevada limited liability company, has requested this abandonment to assemble the proposed vacated/abandoned street right-of-way with abutting property to create four new lots through Tentative Parcel Map No. 2014. This segment of Short Street proposed for abandonment is undeveloped and falls outside the ultimate right-of-way. The scheduling of this public hearing is part of the general vacation procedures set forth by the Streets and Highways Code and is exempt from the Surplus Land Act.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact for scheduling the public hearing.
