RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing Esperanza High School Student, Ethan Larsen as a Division 2 Fine Arts Finalist (Requested by Mayor Aitken). Certificate: Recognizing Anaheim High School Student, Hector Lopez as a Division 2 Media Arts Finalist (Requested by Mayor Aitken). Certificate: Recognizing Anaheim Ballet Student, Luna Rodriguez for representing Anaheim at the Youth America Grand Prix 25th Anniversary Gala (Requested by Mayor Aitken).
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
