RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Resolution, amend Exhibit A of Resolution No. 2024-008 which establishes dates and times of regular Council meetings for calendar year 2024 [rescheduling the regular meeting of August 6 to August 13, 2024; and the regular meeting of July 2 to July 23, 2024].
DISCUSSION:
Near the close of each calendar year, City Council approves a council meeting calendar for the upcoming calendar year. City Charter Section 506 provides that the City Council shall hold regular meetings at least twice each month at such times as fixed by resolution.
Council Member Carlos Leon has requested an amendment to the previously approved City Council calendar amending Exhibit A to the resolution to cancel and reschedule the meeting of August 6 to August 13, 2024. In addition, under Mayoral authority, an amendment is being requested to cancel and reschedule the meeting of July 2 to July 23, 2024.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
