RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, receive a presentation on the Orange County Office of Campaign Finance and Ethics Commission.
DISCUSSION:
At the November 28, 2023 City Council Meeting, Council Member Leon requested a presentation from the Orange County Office of Campaign Finance and Ethics Commission. The Orange County Office of Campaign Finance and Ethics is a commission established in 2016 that provides oversight of the County’s Campaign Reform Ordinance, Lobbyist Registration and Reporting Ordinance, the Gift Ban Ordinance and Sections 6 and 9 of the County Code of Ethics Commitment to Public Service. The Commission’s Executive Director, Denah Hoard, will present their oversight responsibilities, current initiatives, and overview of services.
IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
