RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by Motion, approve recognitions to be delivered at a later date.
DISCUSSION:
At various times throughout the year, the City Council recognizes outstanding individuals, groups, and organizations for their extraordinary achievements and/or contributions to the Anaheim community. Council has the discretion to issue Proclamations, Declarations, and Certificates of Recognition to these deserving parties.
The following have been recommended to receive a Proclamation or Certificate of Recognition:
Certificate: Recognizing the Orange County Greek Festival. (Requested by Council Member Carlos Leon)
Certificate: Recognizing Anaheim High School Girls Wrestling Coach, Ernesto Vargas, for receiving Coach of the Year. (Requested by Council Member Natalie Rubalcava)
Certificate: Recognizing the Patel Family for 50 years of business in the Anaheim Resort District. (Requested by Mayor Pro Tem Norma Campos Kurtz) IMPACT ON BUDGET:
There is no budgetary impact.
